Peter
We are presently living in Shwano, Wisconsin. We are members of Zion Lutheran Church
where Howard is serving part time as Visitation Pastor. He also does some preaching.
Roberta serves on the Health Ministry Committee, belongs to Friendly Visitors and does
volunteer work in the church office. She also sings in the choir.
Howard enjoys trout fishing, gardening and keeps is shape jogging and walking five days a
week. Roberta enjoys crocheting, quilting and reading. Planting flower beds and keeping them
up also brings joy. We always look forward to spending time with our family whenever possible.
We will be celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary this December 28th. We have four children.
PETER HOWARD BUENTING
Born March 24, 1960 in Winnipeg, Manitoba , Canada
He has resided in Duluth, Mn for 19 years. He purchased his first home this pas May (320 sq.
ft. of living space nd 1500 sq. ft. of garage) and hoping to build an addition to the house this
summer. He lives with a 7 year old Chihuahua, name Princess (stalker of chipmunks, squirrels
and small birds). Motorcycling has been his main passion for 30 years, covering over 300,000,
visiting every state and Canadian province west of the Mississippi and most of the Southeastern
states. During the past seven years he has ridden to Alaska 6 times, on three of those has
been north of the Arctic Circle, and one time all the way to the Aartic Ocean. He had been a
Motorcycle Safety Foundation Instructor, teaching motorcycle skills to beginner and experience
riders for 9 years. Last May he completed MSF Rider Coach Trainer School and will be
preparing 12 candidates to become Rider Coaches this spring for Minnesota. Currently
employed as the Leader of the Order Processing Department of Aerostitch Riderwearhouse
and Aero Design and Mfg, a producer/distributor of motorcycle safety gear and motorcycle
accessory mail order business.
MARLYS JOY HELMICH (MOLLY)
Born June 24, 1961 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada
I am Self-employed as a Accountant and Tax-preparer (Accounting, etc). And also the
Clerk/Treasurer for the township of Wingville, WI. I enjoy organic vegetable gardening, reading
and camping. We have a Landscaped 1 acre yard which is an ongoing challenge to
maintain, but is a good source of exercise. My Favorite pastime is cooking over a fire in the
backyarad (year around). Two siamese cats, Mayling (18 years) and Shazar ( 9 months) bring
great joy and laughter as does my wonderful husband. He is talented and full of good cheer
and humor. He is a Manager of Feed Division, Countryside Feed and Grain Elevator. He is
also employed by Accounting, Etc. in various capacities. He sings in a Barbershop Quartet. He
enjoys playing poker, golfing, motorcycle riding, woodworking and camping. His favorite winter
pastime is snow blowing.
ANDREA HOPE OLSON
Born May 25, 1963 in Wildrose, Wisconsin
I married Todd D. Olson in September 1996 and we are blessed with four furry kids ( 3 cats –
Shadow, 18; Sunny, 15; Kota, 13 and a puppy Sophie, 5 months) We live in Alexandria, Mn
where I currently work as a chaplain in a complex that serves seniors. The com,plex includes
apartments, assisted living and long term care, as well as a Rehabilitation Center. My husband
is an Optometrist. Together, we enjoy many interests, including biking, canoeing in the
Boundry Waters, traveling (Europe, India, Canada) hiking and camping. Music has been an
important part of my life. I play flute, guitar and sing, using all of these in my ministry, as well
as the local community.
SARA FAITH BEEKIE
Born July 24, 1964 in Wildrose, Wisconsin
I am the youngest daughter of Howard and Roberta and am married to Dr. Raj Beekie. We
have three children- Sarita (15), Rajee (12) and Mohan (7). I am currently an Early Childhood
Teacher at Stepping Stones Early Learning Center in Woodbury, Mn. I have a Master’s Degree
in Natural Resource Management (North Dakota State University) and a Bachelor’s Degree in
Biology Education ( Concordia College, Moorhead, MN). My special interests include singing,
environmental education and camping with my family. My husband is a Corporate Trainer and
Adjunct Professor at Hamline university and St. Scholastica College. He also enjoys gardening
and cooking.
