I am writing to tell all the Buenting cousins and the family that JoAnn Feltz (Mrs. Duane), daughter of Anna (Buenting) Flessner is in the hospital at Waverly, IA. She has abdominal cancer and is now a hospice patient. She is not expected to live much longer. She is aware of her situation and knows that God will be taking her home soon. We will keep you informed in this manner (and on this website) in the next weeks or days.
Update 9/27 – JoAnn passed away last evening at the Waverly Hospital. Visitation will be at the Sietsema-Vogel Funeral Home in Allison, IA, on Thursday, 10/1/09. Family visitation is at 4:00 p.m. and public visitation is from 5:00 p,.m. to 7:00 p.m. From the main street of Allison, turn west (left) and go to the corner of Birch Street. Address: 308 Birch Street.
The funeral for JoAnn (Flessner) Feltz is scheduled for Friday, 10/2/09, at 1:30 p.m. and will be held at the St. James Lutheran Church, 421 N. Main Street, in Allison, IA. The family members are asked to be there at 12:30 p.m., and the pastor will meet with the family at 1:00 p.m.
